About
As an independent photographer the images I create explore narratives of timeless storytelling. I use my camera as a tool for ritual, delving into photography’s capacity to illuminate and reimagine. My work as an artist seeks to document the most sacred of moments, from births, to the archival documentation of social movements. I weave these components together telling stories of love, stories that serve as medicine for our times, and stories that are rooted in land and liberation. While the body of my work is broad, it is centered around the confluence of the human spirit, community, and nature. I seek to honor the long legacy that photography has in shaping memory and am grateful to all those who have asked me to be witness to their stories.
My practice is rooted in unceded Ohlone territory, also known as Oakland, California, and spans internationally. My work emerges from both the analog and digital fields and the approach I take is deeply influenced by my background in social documentary photography.
When I’m not behind the camera I’m sitting in deep reverence for whales, searching for beautiful swimming holes, sowing seeds & tending to bees.
I Look forward to working with you!
